Beary Good Birthday

Today in the cave I got to play with a set I am so happy that I was able to purchase - it's the MFT Polar Pals.  I've seen so many adorable cards made with this set and it has been on my wish list for a while!  For this birthday card I colored the bear with Primacolor Pencils and gamsol, then cut him out with my Scan n Cut.  I popped him up on foam tape on red card stock from my stash.  The top of the card was embossed with a Darice birch tree embossing folder and the sentiment is from the same set stamped in black.  The 3 snow flakes are large sequins from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Warm & Toasty Holiday Season Bear

Hello and welcome!

I made a 2nd card today with my new Polar Pals set from MFT....just love those cute bears!

This one was colored with Spectrum Noir markers, cut with my scan n cut and popped up on foam tape.  The piercing dies are from Your Next Stamp (circle) and Poppy Stamps (curve) and the patterned paper is from a 6X6 pad by Echo Park called "I love Christmas".   The sentiment is from MFT Get Toasty stamp set, stamped with my Misti in black.

Just Us Girls #413 Word Die Cuts

We have a new challenge this week at Just Us Girls - Word Die Cut!  Please come visit the JUGS blog to see what are wonderful guest designer, Linda, and the whole team has come up with to inspire you!

I love dies and I really love word dies!  I used the Merry Christmas die from Hero Arts "Christmas Trimmings" Stamp and Cut set.  I cut the words out of fun foam in red, green and light gray.  I took 3 plain oval shapes of wood and swiped Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain over them several times to get different shades of browns.  I punched a hole in the top and added twine for the hangers.  I used poinsettias and holly leaves and berries from my stash and glued them to the ornaments, then added some large snowflake sequins from my stash.  I love how rustic these look and they were really fun to make.  I have given these as holiday gifts in the past - it's always fun to give someone a handmade gift!

We hope you will play along! We can't wait to see what you create for Just Us Girls!

Floral Congratulations in Black/White & Red

Hello and welcome!  Hope you had a great day today!

I played in the cave a little today and made this red, black and white card.  I used Echo Park "Floral Bouquet" die along with the sentiment (embossed on vellum) from Simon Says Floral Bliss stamp set.  I cut the die from the red, then again from black and popped out all the pieces, then inlaid it into the red opening.  I used vellum adhesive to adhere the strip to the card.

I also used card stock from Gina K Designs.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Turning Leaf

Hello and welcome!  Today I have a very CAS card that only uses card stock, stamps and ink.
The stamp set is Concord & 9th "Lace Leaf" and I used several shades of Distress Ink and stamped it over and over to give it a fall look.  The card base is a fall green color.

I originally had this entered in Where Creativity Meets C9, but forgot about the limit on number of combined challenges, so I have retracted my entry.  So sorry about that, I must pay better attention to these details!!

Celebrate Your Good Fortune Gnome

Hello and welcome!   I had so much fun making this card with a new to me set from MFT "You Gnome Me".  I stamped the images with StazOn ink and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol, then cut them out with my Scan n Cut. The dotted paper is from my stash and I cut it with Lawn Fawn "Meadow Borders".  The stitched circle die is from Memory Box and I inked it with Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from a stamp set I bought used off eBay.  The seller said it was MFT "Congrats All Around" but I Googled it and I couldn't find an MFT set with that name?  Maybe it's a really old one?  If anyone know anything about this stamp and/or stamp set - please let me know!
I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the gnome's hat and the top of the mushroom.  I popped some things up with foam tape for dimension.

Autumn Sunflower Wishes

I made this card with the StampTV MIUM Challenge in mind.  It's an inspiration challenge and here's the photo:

I used some plaid paper from my stash, the Gina K Designs "Autumn Wishes" stamp set and some lovely sunflowers.  The die is an inverted scalloped circle die and I made the bow out of some raffia from my stash.

The circle is cut from the top of the card and the scalloped edge and sentiment are on the inside of the card as shown here:
