Hello and welcome! I have a cute and funny slimline card I made for a younger family member - made with the brand new released mini stencil called "Mini Smile" stencil. Creative Expressions has released a number of these mini stencils and they are so handy because not only do they not take up a lot of storage space, they are easy to use on larger projects too. Scrapbook.com has these in stock and on sale for $2.25 HERE!
I laid the stencil down once and added my color and then moved it and added more until the whole front of my card was filled with faces, hearts, etc. The background piece was made by putting lots of Cosmic Shimmer blue Lustre Polish on it. I made a very large piece of it and cut part of it down for the background and then cut thin strips of it to add between the rows and columns of faces.
So it looks like I cut out each face but I didn't, they are all stenciled on one white piece and then that white piece is matted on the blue background that you can see on the outside edges. The blue vertical and horizontal lines are just thin strips of the blue cut and glued to the white piece.
The yellow faces were made with yellow Lustre Polish also by Cosmic Shimmer. The sentiment, from Woodware Stamps "Snail Ride", was heat embossed in white on black card. Lastly I added googly eyes!
Here's one last look:

Cute as card Angie. Very cleverly done
ReplyDeleteSo very cute!
ReplyDeleteThe googly eyes just make this card special. What a great way to use the stencil and then to add pieces of CS to frame it.
