Cimbacreativefun: "To You" with Butterfly Blooms from Creative Expressions

Hello and welcome!

I here today showcasing a brand new stamp set from Creative Expressions in their Designer Boutique line.

All of the images and sentiment are from the same set called "Butterfly Blooms."

Here's a close up look at my card. You can see the shimmer of the sparkle paste and the lovely 3D Pearl Accents in Frosted Aqua.

Here's how I made this card:

1) Stamp the floral/butterfly image once in the bottom left corner in black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Stamp just a portion of the image again two more times, once in the top left corner and once in the top right corner. Clear heat emboss those too.

2) Using a small ink blenders, add Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick and Speckled Egg, to the flowers and butterfly and circles. Add just a little Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide in the lower right corner letting it fade out as you go upwards.

3) Add a little more color and shading on the images with watercolor markers and then add "Frosty Sparkle" Ultra Sparkle Paste with a paint brush to all the flowers, circles and butterfly. Let it dry and add a 2nd coat of the paste for even more sparkle.

4) Stamp another floral/butterfly image in black and heat emboss in clear, then fussy cut out just the butterfly.

5) Color that butterfly in the same way, ink blending & watercolor markers, and add black marker to all the outside edges.

6) Attach the loose butterfly's body to the one on the card with glue, leaving the wings up for dimension.

7) Heat emboss the sentiment in white on black card stock, then trim it to a banner.

8) Cut the main panel down to 3.5" on the sides and cut 2 thin strips of black card stock.

9) Add the main panel to the A2 card base and glue the black strips on either side of the panel.

10) Pop the sentiment banner up on foam tape on the card front toward the top right.

11) To finish the card, add Frosted Aqua 3D Pearl Accents to the flower centers.
