Hello and welcome! Today starts a brand new challenge at Just Us Girls!
Our host is Lisa, and for her colors, she has chosen Aqua, Navy and Grey.
I hope you will find some time this week to join in the fun!
Stop by the JUGS blog to see what our amazing guest designer, Patty Kehl and DT have prepared to inspire you!
As soon as I saw the graphic with aqua, navy, and grey....I thought of the ocean.
So here's how I made my card. I took Distress Inks in aqua and navy colors and inked with a blending tool the bottom half of a card panel. I took cloud dies and some grey ink from Reverse Confetti to make "fluff" at the top....it can be grey skies....or it could be sea foam, however you look at it! The cloud dies were Lawn Fawn and so were all the other stamps except the sentiment. I used LF "Float My Boat" and "Fintastic Friends" for fish an ocean stamps, and the sentiment is from Kitchen Sink Stamps "Multi-step Sailboats." The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair Warm Breeze ink. I took an MFT scalloped rectangle border die and cut the panel out. (I saved the frame for another project) and just used the inside for my card.
I took some clear Nuvo drops and added them to the bubbles and then added tons of shimmer to the blue part of the card with a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen!
Here's a closer look at the shine!
