Joy Clair Mother's Day Love stamp set - Best Hugs

Hello and welcome!  I'm on the Joy Clair blog today featuring one the brand new stamp sets in the May 2018 release called "Mother's Day Love".  

Here's a look at the new set:

How adorable are those little duos and the sentiments are "purrfect"!

I used it to make a card for one of my grandchildren - they really do give the best hugs!

Above you can see I stamped the bears and sentiment, then masked off a square to ink the sky and grass with Distress Oxide Inks.  I had stamped a mask for the bears our of Post-It note paper before inking too.  Below you can see some of the colors of Zigs I used to color the image and the black frame I cut with an MFT pinked edge die and another plain square die.

I originally planned to use the white card that I inked and stamped as a one layer card with the black frame glued around the image and then decided it was too plain.

So I dry embossed a kraft piece with a We R Memories Heart embossing folder, cut it down a little, and attached it to a white card base.  Then I popped up the framed image on foam tape and added twine and a thick red heart as you can see below.
