Hi and welcome to my DT card for the new challenge over at Just Us Girls Color Week!
For my card, I used a piece of watercolor paper and stamped and heat embossed the image from Unity Stamps "Journey Girl", then watercolored it with a water brush and Zig Clean Color markers in shades of the challenge colors. I stamped the girl on some plaid paper and fussy cut her shirt, then added some darker blue Zig color on the edges then glued it on top of the shirt that was stamped on the watercolor panel.
Then I used a Sizzix scalloped long rectangle die to cut out the girl and inked around the edges while it was still in the die, then adhered it to white layering panel. I heat embossed the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp "Thoughtful Messages" and added them to the panel, trimmed it down a little and added to a black layering panel. Lastly I added the black panel to a white card base then added a strip of dotted washi tape (framed in black) as a banner in the front.
I plan to give this card to my sweet daughter who is turning 30 this month!
