Here's my 2nd card from learning a new technique from Loll's video link on CAS mix it up July Challenge. This one has a lot of texture on the tissue paper.
I made a tissue paper panel with Distress Inks and water and then scrunched it up and adhered it to card panel, then layered another piece of white card stock over it that had been die cut with Seredipity Stamps "Party Balloons die". I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp "Thoughtful Messages", then added silver moon dust Nuvo Crystal glitter drops to the confetti holes in the die. I used some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to make the balloons glisten - and that actually backfired and the inks started spilling out on the white cover! So I used a white gel pen to clean that up. I cut another die cut out of metallic silver card stock and use the strings from those balloons to give some added interest to the balloons and so the strings were not the same color as the balloons. I added a black panel then a card base.
I will enter this in the CAS mix it up July Challenge - I used stamps, tissue paper, vellum and Nuvo drops
Another beauty with tissue paper. Love the mix of colours for your watercoloured and textured background. The silver dots add so much sparkle. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
