Pierced Love and my Sweet Mags

There's my sweet Maggie, our Springer Spaniel who turned 15 (105 in dog years) this month!
Love her so much!

I used piercing dies, Butterfly Sash die from Poppystamps, and Love Stamp and Cut from Hero Arts to make this card along with Gina K Designs card stock and circle dies from Sizzix and Memory Box.  Butterflies colored with Distress Oxide inks and Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen along with the love and circle border.

Favorite Season Lacy Leaf

If you are looking for the details about the Mod Squad Challenge Post, click here.

I used several different ink colors in greens, yellows, peaches and oranges to stamp the color behind this "Lacy Leaf" from Concord & 9th.  If you look closely you can see some of the color variation.  I was trying to make it look like the leaf was turning colors preparing for the fall season.
The sentiment is from the same set stamped in Archival Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mod Squad "Love Challenge" - Join in the fun!

Hi everyone, I'm over at the Mod Squad Challenge blog with a new challenge for the week and the theme is "LOVE"!  So have some fun creating with LOVE in mind and enter to win a $25 gift card to Tupelo Designs, LLC!

My first card was made with the Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous "Floral" stencil, MFT ink cubes, and Clarity Stencil Brushes.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts "Love Stamp and Cut" set and it's placed over a piece of acetate for a cool see-through look.  I also used post-it masking tape and black and white card stock.  Lastly I added Nuvo drops in the flower and leaf centers with matching colors in Buttermilk and Duck Egg Blue.  You can see the acetate and dots better in the pictures below:

For my next cards, I used the new Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia rubber stamp along with the matching dies to create this lovely 3D flowers.  I colored them with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, popped up the layers with foam squares, then added them to patterned paper from My Mind's Eye "In Bloom" double sided papers.  The sentiments are from Waffle Flower's "Enveloper Kindness" set and Altenew's Wild Hibiscus set, heat embossed with white embossing powder.

You're My Favorite Season

DH and I were out and about yesterday so we went to Wal-Mart, of all places, to get some steps in and help in his recovery.  We saw this awesome little herb drying board!

I told DH I can make that!  I was getting out my camera to take a picture of it and noticed the price $4.88.  Holy cow, why would I want to make this when I can buy it ready made for $4.88!
So I bought it - I might make some as gifts in the future, but I need a way to hang the herbs I grow, up to dry now and that's CUTE!  The way I do it now, it to tie them up with twine from my craft room and hang them on hangers in the garage - sooooo ugly!
Now I have a stylin' way to hang my herbs!
(I need to get a life!)

Anyway, I saw the new challenge over at Casology - Season, and thought I can make a card for that, and here it is!  The sentiment is from Concord & 9th Lace Leaf and the stamps are from a 1999 Stampin' Up set that I bought used at a garage sale when I first started stamping a couple of years ago.
I picked my favorite "season" out of the row and colored that one only.  I used Archival Ink in black and Zig Clean Color Markers with water and a paint brush.  I used one of the other stamps in the set to make a coordinating envelope, you can see part of it below in the pictures on the bottom right.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oxide Follow Your Dreams

Playing with Distress Oxide inks in the cave today....they are so yummy!  Beautiful colors and they go on so smoothly!  I used Gina K Designs card stock and stamps for this card. I masked off a white piece and inked and stamped it, then die cut it with a slightly larger oval die.  I also inked another piece on two side.  I dry embossed the kraft card base with a We R Memories Next Level embossing folder, then trimmed the front of the card with my paper trimmer.  I added the inked panel behind the top of the kraft card so it shows on either side, then added a little black strip of card stock on each side.  The sentiment is also Gina K Designs and it is from Dream Catcher set.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope your week is off to a great start!

Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia So Lovely

Hi there, I'm over at the a2zscrapbooking blog today with a card using two of my favorite Hero Arts stamps!  I used the new Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, then fussy cut it before adding it to a striped background.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts "Your So Lovely" stamp set, heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder and cut with a scalloped rectangle die.  I popped it up for a little dimension.

I hope you will be able to enter the a2z scrapbooking "Use you Favorite Hero Arts" product Challenge for April and be eligible to win the $25 gift certificate.

If you need Hero Arts supplies or any craft supplies (you can special order them through the a2z store) and use "Angie15" to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (excluding shipping.)
