Winter Hello with Memory Box Dies

 Splatter main

Hello and welcome, I'm here today with a "Winter Hello" card to welcome in the new year!  My supply list is below.  Just in case you've never seen that type snow bank on a card - it was made with Creative Expressions Fluffy Stuff.

My card as shown above was misted with water after I completed - here's a photo I took before I sprayed it:

The inks I used and blended on the water and the horizon were Distress Ink and they react so nicely with sprayed water droplets creating lots of extra texture.  Here's a close up look at those splatters:

I cut two of the "Forest Path" die from white card stock and then took one after cutting it and laid it on top of a piece of "Press and Seal."  This way all the tiny pieces stayed together.  I blended Distress Inks in blues, oranges and purples across the top.  I didn't worry about ink getting on the snow drifts because I knew I was going to lay the 2nd "Forest Path" cut from white over the top of the inked one.  So once I was done inking, I added the totally white one on top with liquid glue, all except the river.  I inked the 2nd river in blue and then added it to the bottom layer.

Next I added Fluffy Stuff to simulate snow on the riverbank edges.  Once you heat it up, it puffs up and looks like snow!  I cut two of the "Hello Rush Script" word die and glued them together and used the same ink colors on it, then added it to the card.  I cut birds from white card stock using "Layered Birds" and inked the top layer of each bird with blue ink the glued them together.  I added them to the card along with snowflake sequins from my stash, then sprayed water on the whole card front before adding it to the heavyweight A2 card base.  Here's one last look:

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your new year is off to a great start!  See you next time!
