Hello and welcome, it's Angie here with a mini slimline card featuring woodgrain cardstock and other Memory Box Christmas goodies from the latest release.
Supplies: https://ldli.co/e/m51672d
Here's a closer look at my card:
To make my card I first cut a piece of tan wood grain panel slightly smaller than my 3' by 6' card base, inked it with Distress Inks in shades of brown and then added it to the card front. To get the really dark look, I took the ink pad directly to the paper and rubbed the color on.
I dry embossed the poinsettias on two pieces of white cardstock so I could have 3 cut flowers and used the coordinating dies from the Perfect Poinsettia's 3D embossing folder/die set (EF1037) to cut them out. I also cut some leaves from the Leaf Bunches die set (94745) all from white card stock. I used alcohol markers and colored pencils to color the leaves and centers of the poinsettias. I also colored a little strip of cardstock with the same greens to place under the black Christmas Sentiment tab. Here's a closer look at the details:
Once I was happy with the arrangement of flowers and leaves I started adhering them to the card front, some with liquid glue and others with foam tape. Lastly I added the sentiment and green strip to the top. Here's one last look:
I hope you like my card for today. I've been using the same embossing folder for the last few cards I have posted but it's because I really want to show you how versatile it is and how many different looks you can get with the one folder and die set. You can check out all the different designs you can create HERE. There are also rub on transfers that coordinate with the set. I was fortunate to get to teach a card class at my local scrapbook store and we featured this set to show how many different looks you can get with it. Thanks so much for stopping by! Come back each day for more inspiration from the design team! Happy crafting my friends!
Absolutely gorgeous!
