Two Ocean Fish Cards with Confetti Hot Foil Plate & More!

Close

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with two cards featuring new products from the latest release.

Here's a link to my supplies:  https://ldli.co/e/1p65m64

They are all pictures and linked at the bottom of this post if you'd rather use the affiliate links.  As always, there is no extra cost to you, it just helps support my crafting efforts and I appreciate it so much if you use them.  Now on to how I made these cards:

My first card is a slimline card using two fish from the combination "Freshwater Fish" stencil and embossing folder set.  The background for my card was ink blended with lots of blues.  Once it dried, I ran it through my hot foil machine using the "Confetti Dot" hot foil plate and some gold foil.  Here's a closer look:

I colored the fish with Distress Inks and watercolor markers and then fussy cut them out.  Next I splashed some water on the background to make more dots on it.  I added the two fish and then a sentiment from "You Anchor Me" stamp set.  It was stamped in brown ink on a stitched rectangle die.  Lastly I added water droplets from Memory Box and added the blue panel to a slimline size card base.  Here's one last look:

Now, here's a look at my second card:

I made this card the same way except I used very little ink on the background and I used Memory Box watercolor card stock.

Here's a closer look at this card.  You can see I heat embossed the sentiment on black card stock with white embossing powder.

I hope you like my cards for today!  Be sure to come back each day to the blog for more inspiration from the design team!

  2. As a boater, I can identify with the sentiment on the first card. Both of these are really great and your colouring is amazing.
