Second Cup Sunday - Coffee Cup with Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello, I'm up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog with this card today featuring a prize die set I won from Super Sponsor Elizabeth Craft Designs, in the  2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop!   This is a huge die set called "Warm Winter Mug" has lots of dies and they are all so very cute!  Here's a look at it:

To make my card I started with a panel of watercolored card in purple and die cut the polka dot cover from it and cut the cup base from plain white watercolor card.  My art teacher, Cate Robbins, gave me a lot of watercolored samples she had used for testing colors in her studio and was going to throw away.  She knows I make cards and asked my if I'd like to have them and of course, I say YES!  The purple one is one of the ones she gave me.

With an ink dauber, I inked the edges and parts of each piece to give it some shading and even added some markers to the purple edges to help round out the cup shape.  I cut the coffee beans from the white watercolor card and inked them and colored just the centers with a marker.  The sentiment is from Super Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs stamp set called "Newton Loves Coffee"  heat embossed in white on black card.

Lastly I added gold glitter glue from Memory Box to each of the polka dots.  Here's a closer look:

I hope you like my card for today!  I had so much fun creating it.  I also hope your new year is off to a great start.  Here's one last look at my card:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Here's a little kindness quote for you:

"To make a difference in someone’s life you don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful, or perfect. You just have to care.” – Mandy Hale

Happy New Year - hope it's filled with lot of great coffee, tea and caffeine!
