Hello and welcome! I have pine filled Christmas card for you today made with the new Spellbinders "Pretty Pine Background" stamp. I love background stamps like this because they make it super easy to make a card with a beautiful background and all you need to decide is how you want to use it.
You can stamp or emboss it, and there are many choices, emboss in metallic on black card stock, or white/clear emboss on white paper and then ink over for an emboss resist. You can also cut a shape out of the center for a larger sentiment if you like, or just add a larger sentiment anywhere on it!
I wanted to feature the beauty of the stamp so I left it whole and use a tiny sentiment so it didn't distract from all the beauty of the foliage! Here's a closer look:
Here's how I made it:
I stamped it black and embossed it in clear embossing powder then colored it with alcohol markers and a white gel pen. After trimming the panel down to 3.25" by 4.75", I inked the edges with Distress Ink, added some thin gold twine and 3 star stickers from the new "Christmas Puffy Sentiment Stickers" also from Spellbinders. Lastly I added a couple of gold gems on either side of the sentiment. Here's one last look:
Thanks so much to Spellbinders for sending me this product to work with. I will be creating monthly projects as one of the USA #teamspellbinders Influencer group for their new releases. Thanks so much to Yana Smakula for the invite.
I hope you like my card for today, I love this background stamp and plan to use it for a lot of my Christmas cards this year!

It is beautiful. I no longer do any embossing on cards as I could not bring all my equipment with me. But perhaps I could still color in the image just by stamping in black. Your card is certainly an inspiration! It is so tempting for me to purchase it but I am going to pass for the time being at least.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card!
