Thoughts of You with Polka Dot Orchard

Hello and welcome!

I've got another card for you today made for the 2021 Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall Winter Blog Hop!

I am featuring a lovely digital stamp set from Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard called "My Love Mug."

Here's another look at my card:

I sized and arranged the image and then added the sentiment in reverse colors.  By that I mean I love the look of a white heat embossed sentiment on black card stock, so to get that look with a digital stamp, here's how I do that.

To print digital sentiments white letters on black background:  

1)  Duplicate the image and save as "reverse"

2)  Open the image and in your tools find "adjust color"

3)  Drag the color bars to opposite sides, it will look like a gray background

4)  Go back to your document that you are printing on and insert a rectangle

5)  Drag the reversed image into your document not directly over the black rectangle.  (You won't be able to see it at first, because your document background is white. But you will see the box around it.)

6) Resize the black rectangle and then drag the revered image over the black box so you can see font.

7)  Resize the reversed image and black box until they are the size you like

I colored the card with Ohuhu markers then added glossy accents to the heart and coffee in the mug.

The frame was made by inked the Creative Expressions "Coffee Stains" embossing folder with a brayer and running it through my die cutting machine.  I took a rectangle die and cut the middle out of it and saved the inside of it for another card.
