Poinsettia Full of Joy with Memory Box

Hello and welcome!

I'm up on the Memory Box blog today with some brand new holiday products just recently released!

I have linked all my supplies including the brand new products from the 2021 Christmas Release!

First I cut the Contempo Poinsettia out of white card stock two times and trimmed the flower from the rest of the die.  I used the coordinating stencil and Distress Oxide "Fired Brick" ink with a dauber and added it to white card stock, then added some sparkle embossing powder to it and melted it with my heat tool.

It created this lovely shiny red stenciled poinsettia.  I also did this on a plain piece of card stock so I could use it to die cut the background for the "Joy" word die.  

I took a Tim Holtz brayer and added "Salvaged Patina" Distress Oxide to my glass mat and from there I rolled the brayer in the ink and then on  debossed side of the 3D embossing folder.  Next I added card stock inside, and ran it through my die cutting machine. I did this 2 times. I used one of them for the background and I fussy cut the embossed flower in the center from the 2nd one so I could use it as a layer over the stenciling.

First I added one die cut white poinsettia to the shiny red stenciled poinsettia, but only glued it in the center so the edges can pop up.  Next I added the light blue embossed layer and then topped it off with the 2nd white outlined poinsettia die cut.  Again, I only glued the center so the leaves of the flower could move freely and to give it all more dimension.  Then with my scissors I carefully cut around the whole poinsettia so I could add it to the center of the Savaged Patina embossed panel.

Below you can see the shine of the stenciled, heat embossed red section.

Next I added the gems and the "Joy" word die in the center.
