It's Snowtime with Creative Expressions Stamps Quirky Animals

Hello and welcome!  There's a brand new release at Creative Expressions in their Quirky Animals series and I am featuring one of the new sets called "It's Snowtime." (UMSDB074)

Isn't it just the cutest set ever?  Love all the squirrels playing in the snow and having a snowball fight.

Here's how I made my card:

1)  First I took some Tim Holtz Sparkle Alcohol Ink card stock and added blue and green alcohol inks and blending solution.  Before it dried, I used my blow dryer on low to blow the ink around.

2)  Next I cut a section 3" by 4.25" from the inked panel, picking the section I liked the most.  I adhered it to the top of a 3" by 6" card base, mini slimline size.

3)  With scissors, I cut curved panels of white card stock and inked the tops of them with "Iced Spruce" Distress Ink and then added them below the inked panel to simulate snow drifts.

4)  I stamped the images and sentiment on white card stock and then colored them with alcohol markers and colored pencils, then fussy cut them out.

5)  I arranged them on the card front and glued them down.

6)  With a white gel pen, I added white snow dots and "Fluffy Stuff" on the card in different places and heated that up with my heat tool to get it to puff up.
