Christmas Giraffe Greetings with Creative Expressions Quirky Animals

Hello and welcome!

I have a really fun holiday card made with the brand new "Giraffe Greetings" Designer Boutique stamps set from Creative Expressions.  It's from their "Quirky Animals" line and this groups of stamps really make me smile.  They are indeed very quirky!

Here's another look at my card:

And here's exactly how I made my card:

1)  I took a piece of masking paper and hand cut a wonky rectangle from the middle of it and then laid it down on a piece of Creative Expressions watercolor card stock.

2)  Next I used CS Watercolor Palette #9 Frosted & Chic ( CSIWPSET9) , a paint brush and water and painted the background for my sweet giraffe.  

3)  Cut the watercolor card down to 5" by 2" and ink the edges of the rectangle with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink.

4) I added splatters, by using the same watercolor palette color with just a tiny bit of water, so they would be darker splatters in the background.

5)  Stamp, color and fussy cut the tall giraffe from the set.  I colored mine with alcohol markers and colored pencils and a white gel pen.

6)  Heat emboss the sentiment from the Creative Expressions "Moments In Time"stamp set in white on black card stock and cut with scissors.

7)  Add both the giraffe and the sentiment to the watercolor panel and add that panel to a 3" by 6" card base. (Mini slimline size card)

8)  Lastly add small dots of Cosmic Shimmer "Fluffy Stuff" to simulate snow falling, then using your heat gun heat them up until they puff up.

I plan to sent this card to a family member who loves giraffes!  This is a perfect set for an unusual and quirky Christmas greeting!  Hope you like my card.
