Rainbow Slimline with Butterfly Blooms

Hello and welcome!

I have a rainbow slimline card today using a new stamp that I have really fallen in love with!

It's called "Butterfly Blooms" and it's from Creative Expressions.  I also used rainbow paper from a paper pack called "Dandelion Dreams", two slimline dies from the "Decorative Square Rectangle" die set, and Vellum, all from Creative Expressions.  I have linked all my supplies below if you are interested in them.

To make my card I ran white card stock and the rainbow paper through my die cut machine to cut.

For the white, I ran both the biggest dies through so I could make a white frame.  I also ran the rainbow paper through the same way but didn't use the frame from the rainbow paper or the inside white piece.  I will save those for another project.  I stamped the image on the inside rainbow piece with my stamping tool and heat embossed it in clear.

After I cut them with my Spellbinders Platium, they were quite warped, so I ran them through my laminator inside a piece of copy paper and that helped flatten them out.  I adhered them together on top of a piece of rainbow paper slight later than the white outside frame.

Next, I adhered that to the card base and added some enamel accents.  To create more dimension I took some two sided adhesive and added it to a piece of vellum.

I stamped the image on the vellum and heat embossed it in clear then fussy cut out the butterfly.

I used my embossing pad to take the sticky off the wings and then colored the wings with alcohol markers.  I left the butterfly's body very sticky so I could attach it to the butterfly stamped on the rainbow paper.  The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in clear embossing ink and heat embossed in white.
