Hello and welcome to the brand new trend challenge at Just Us Girls hosted by Vicki.
Here's the trend she has chosen!
So I decided to make a trendy slimline card!
I have some slimline dies but for this card I didn't use any of them, just my paper cutter.
First I took yellow card stock and cut it to 8 5/8" by 7 1/4", then scored it at 3 5/8" to make my card base. I cut another piece of white card stock 3.5" by 8.5" for the top panel.
Next I took a new to me stencil by Miss Ink Stamps called "Scene Builder"and partially inked the sun in the top left corner with Distress Oxide inks, then used the cloud part, some blue Distress Ink and a blender brush to make the clouds.
The row of houses is a die a purchased from Happy Little Stampers store before they closed and it's not quite long enough to fill the length of my card so I cut two and pieced them together. I don't think it's available anywhere but I did link something pretty close to it by Gina Marie Designs linked HERE at the Joy Clair store.
The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles "Home Sweet Home" set. This is one of the very first stamp
sets I ever purchased and it was used off Ebay. The heart dies are from Simon Says Stamp "Heart Breeze" die. Lastly I added Wink of Stella to hearts and all the windows.
I have linked my supplies below if you interested.
Here's another look at my card:

Awesome slimline scene card, Angie. Great job stencilling the background for your silhouette die-cuts. I think that JD stamp set was my first set too, but I bought it directly from her so definitely paid way more than you. 😂 Sadly, I think my set is still NBUS. 🙈
ReplyDeleteMe again. Great take on the challenge, thank you so much for participating over at the Mod Squad Challenge
