Leave No Lovely Word Unsaid with Pinkfresh Studio

Hello and welcome!

I tried something different today and that was to make a card totally from ephemera.  There was a card challenge at Cupcake Inspirations that I wanted to enter, but I did not get this card made in time!

What is ephemera you say?  

It's a noun and here's it's meaning:

1. things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time, 

   items of collectible memorabilia, typically written or printed ones, that were originally expected to have only short-term usefulness or popularity
   
   

You can buy packs of ephemera from scrapbooking and stamp companies and I bought my first pack this summer for some journaling I was doing.  The pack I used today is a different one and it's from the "Indigo Hills 2" line from Pinkfresh Studio.  I also used the matching 6' X 6' paper pack.

I started with the frame and took out the white insert between the frame and blooms/leaves the added some matching ombre watercolor looking paper from the paper pack.  I added a few flowers and the center focal flower along with the sentiment strip - all pieces from the ephemera pack.

Isn't that an awesome sentiment?  Leave no lovely word unsaid.

I love it!

I like this paper pack and ephemera because it's in colors I rarely use so it pushes me outside my comfort zone a little.  And it's so fun to play with!  Make me want to take up scrapbooking but I don't think I have the patience for that!
