Just Us Girls Challenge #492 - Color Challenge

Hello and welcome!

There's a brand new challenge hosted by Carol this week over at Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and here's what color combo she has chosen:

For my card I chose the color peach - and made light medium and dark peach flowers.  I used the layering stamp set from Altenew Beautiful Day with Hero Arts Shadow ink in peach.  That's the only color I used, but I stamped the main layer one time, the 2nd layer 3 times and the 3rd layer 5 times to get a really rich look to these beautiful flowers.  Here's a closer look:

The sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp's You Matter heat embossed and die cut in white.
The flower centers have black Nuvo drops and I used a fabric diamond patterned tape on the left side for added interest.  The flowers were masked off and stamped on white card stock, then fussy cut out as one big piece and popped up with foam tape for dimension.

I can't wait to see what you create!  Stop by and see what our fab guest designer, Marlena McDeavitt  and the whole design team have created to inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Well aren't you the genius!!! I have never thought to triple and five-time stamp with the same color. That is simply FABULOUS and I will be doing it. Your card is just stunning with the flowers against the black. I'm pinning, my friend. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

  15. The flowers are gorgeous, Angie, and the triple and quintuple stamping really worked to keep with the challenge. They are perfect fussy cut so that no white intrudes onto the black.
