Hello and welcome!
I have a card here today inspired by the challenge this week over at CASology #338:
I haven't been able to enter too many challenges lately as my the music part of my life has sort of taken over most of my time - I judge a lot of music festivals and contests and this is THAT time of year! I had an idea to use some left over plastic folders that I keep extra music in for this card, so I picked two out, one in teal and one in purple.
It took several passes through the die cutting machine to get a good cut and several tries, but eventually I was able to get some plastic hearts to inlay inside the openings of the Simon Says Stamp Heart Breeze die. I also used Hero Arts "Messages with Flourishes" and finished off the open dots with black Nuvo drops. Here's a closer look:
I hope you enjoyed my venture out into the abnormal in card making by adding plastic to my card and thanks so much to CASology for sparking this idea for this bday card! Can't wait to share it with someone special!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I will also enter this in:

Hi Sandie,
DeleteThanks for stopping by! I am a retired music teacher (34 yrs public school and 5 years private school!) and they hire retired teachers a lot to judge music festivals/contest in Texas - so in the spring I get to have lots of fun and hear tons of kids make music - it's GREAT!
So cool to recycle and the colors are perfect. Especially that they are hearts. So great that the music is working for you.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Angie! The inlaid hearts are beautiful, and the Nuvo drops really add a lot to your creation! Thank you for sharing your lovely card with us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges! -Donna
