Hello and welcome! It's Wild-Card week over at Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and Sue is our host!
She has chosen embossing folders!
For my card I used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink on one side on the folder and ran it through my Big Shot, then cut out a rectangle for my focal point. I used the rest for a 2nd card you can see below.
I cut the Simon Says "you" die out of the rectangle and added it to a black Rinea Foil rectangle and attached it to the card base at an angle. I added the sentiment from the SSS You set to make a bday card for my stash. Quick and easy! Here's a closer look:
And here's the card I made with the left overs:
Come see what our guest designer Greta, and the whole team have prepared for you!
It may have been quick and easy, but it is absolutely stunning! Love the effect of the inked folder and the big, bold sentiment. Great design!
ReplyDeleteLove the smaller embossed panel! Great job with this challenge
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous, Angie ! And what a fabulous way to use our neglected embossing folders from our stash. Really love your designs too ! Thanks so much for sharing and for inspiring. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card, Angie! Love how you inked the embossing folder, and the "you" die cut is quite an eye catcher! Putting your main element at an angle draws the eye even more!!! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges! -Donna
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done for both cards with that embossing folder. Isn't it a beauty and to think we both used that one this week. Fabulous cards Angie.
ReplyDeleteSo, so cool! I almost never ink embossing folders, but you've reminded me what a beautiful result it gives! Thanks for having me GD in March!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool cards! Love what you did! I love that first one with the little bit in the corner looks great! Fabulous job!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you and Ina used the same EF...how funny is that! I never ink embossing folders and I am not sure why! You have two fabulous cards here Angie!
ReplyDeleteHow clever to use the one piece on two cards! I love the inked background on the embossed piece. Great cards!
ReplyDeleteYou got great ink coverage after putting it on your embossing folder, Angie. Cutting out the sentiment word and letting the black show through looks fantastic and the fact that you got a second card from your panel was the cherry on top.
