Four Sympathy Cards with Altenew, MFT, Poppy Stamps, & Bleach

Hello and welcome!

I'm here today with cards that are always hard to make - sympathy cards.
I needed quite a few of them so I used my Misti to help me make 4 similar ones.
I made this first one with kraft card stock, the 2nd and 4th one with turquoise card stock, and the 3rd one with light blue card stock.  After stamping the floral from Altenew's "Needlework Motif" stamp set, then used a small paint brush with bleach to lighten some areas of the image.  I heat embossed and die cut the sentiment from MFT's "Deepest Sympathy" stamp set.

On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd card I used Poppy Stamps Dotted curved border die and on the last card I used an MFT stitched edges die set 2.  Here's a closer look at the kraft card:

Here's card number 2 on turquoise with the dotted curve die border:

Here's my 3rd one with light blue card stock:

Here's the last one that has the scalloped border die instead of the dotted one done on turquoise card stock.

Thanks so much for stoping by!

  1. You have created a gorgeous set of cards, Angie! I love the effect of bleach colouring. Perfect design for Sympathy cards, which are so difficult to make. Thanks so much for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday this week!

  2. This quartet is just beautiful! I've never done card bleaching with actual bleach but the effect is gorgeous. Did you dilute the bleach? Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday! Karen - DT
