Joy Clair & Thermoweb Collaboration Week - Foiling Alcohol Inks with Vintage Ornaments Sentiment

Hello and welcome!

This week the Joy Clair team is collaborating with Thermoweb to bring you some really fun projects that you can make combining goodies from both companies!

Here's a list of the goodies I used from Joy Clair and Thermoweb:

I made two cards for today - using the foil without any heat.  So if you don't have a laminator or a Minc or Mini Minc, and you have alcohol ink you can still use the foil for some really cool looks! Here's my first card:

and here's the Yupo paper with alcohol inks and blender solution on it:

I'm starting to add foil but not much was adhering because I let it get too dry:

So I added more inks and blender and tried a few more times:

I loved the way it turned out!

  

I used a large portion for my first card as the background field for the tractor and rows of corn.
I stamped and colored several corn stalks and cut some out along with the tractor.  I stamped the windmill in the background and then added the tractor and another row of corn stalks to make it look like the tractor was between rows of corn.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the same set.  I just love this set because the images are so cute and you can create a lot of different scenes with it.

Now for my 2nd card

I decided to use the left over pieces of inked/foiled Yupo paper to cut 3 trees with Impression Obsession dies.  This set of dies was one of the very first dies I ever owned - I rarely use them but every time I look at them I smile because it was just a few years ago and when I bought them, I had NO idea how to use them!  Thankfully it was not hard to figure out!

I cut the main trees from the left over Yupo paper and used the fancier dies on solid black card stock.

Then I adhered them together.

I stamped the sentiment from the newly released Joy Clair Vintage Ornaments stamp set.

I cut stars with a 2 different sizes of star dies from MFT and added them to the top of the trees.

Here's a view up close so you can see the shine of the foil on the trees.

I added an extra strip of the Yupo bordered by black on the outside of the envelope and on the inside of the card:

And one final look at my 2nd card:
