With Love & Prayers with Stencil and Embossing Paste

Hello and welcome!

I made a sympathy card today - these are always so hard for me to make.

I started with the Simon Says Stamps New Beginnings stencil called "Flutterings" and added glossy white embossing paste to a piece of card stock.  After it dried, I inked the rest of the card in Distress Inks in blues, greens and yellows.  Then I added it to a white card base and took a circle die and cut the center out of the top of the card.  I cut another circle out of white and placed it inside the card.

Using my Misti to line the butterflies up, I stamped one on the inside to line up with the one on the front, then a few more in the inside.  I used the circle dies to cut a really thin frame for the outside of the card front and a thicker one to put on the inside of the card front.  I cut 2 MFT scalloped frames and put the black one on the front of the card and the white one on the inside of the card.

I also cut a very this black frame A2 size to put on the inside of the card outside the scalloped frame edge.   The butterflies and sentiment are all from Gina K Designs "Sending Love' stamp set!

All stamps were stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  Lastly I sprayed the front of the card with lots of shimmer spray.

CAS You Float My Boat!

Hello and welcome!

Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day today!

I had a little bit of time to play in the cave and I made this card with a couple of challenges in mind:

I used one of the new Lawn Fawn "Stitched Wave Borders" dies to cut a panel of card stock that I inks with lots of different colors of Distress Inks in blues and greens.  The stamp set used is Lawn Fawn's "Float my Boat" and the boat was paper pieced with paper from "Ahoy There" paper pack from Carta Bella.  I used some Navy ink to stamp the sentiment and boat.

Such a sweetie!  Although I'm covered in bandaids because old people skin + puppy teeth and nails are NOT such a good combination!  Hahaha!

Worth every bandaid!

Happiness is Love, Coffee & A Friend

Hello and welcome!

I was able to get one more card made today with a few more started.  But Zoe, the puppy needed more attention so I stopped to play with her!

This card was made for the 2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.

I used a new to me die called Simon Says Stamp Hearts Alive.  I had used it for a previous card on some inked yardstick so I used the cut out hearts from that one to insert into one of the dies I cut from Your Next Stamp "Crazy for Coffee" patterned paper.  After inserting them, I stamped the "Love" from Simon Says Stamp "Beautiful Flowers."  I cut the die out of a piece of white card stock and then backed it with tape so I could add the inserted pieces, hearts and patterned paper pieces.

I added the sentiment "Happiness is coffee & a friend" is from A Jillian Vance Design stamp set called "Simply Said Perk Up."  I used brown Versafine Clair ink.

I added lots of Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to all the hearts.  I added the whole piece to the front of a folded card then used an MFT edge die to cut the front of the card shorter than the back.

I took another piece of the coffee cup paper and added it to the inside of the card, then added a brown strip of card stock to give it a cleaner edge.  I can write my note on the top half of the card now.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my coffee card!
Have a great rest of your weekend!

One Layer - Put a Little Love in Your Heart with SSS

Hello and welcome!

I had a little time to play in my cave today.  We got a new puppy 2 days ago, and I haven't been able to craft much!  She's keeping us busy!  I went out today and got a pen so she could be out in the cave with me while I craft.  Here's our new little Zoe out crafting with me...excuse the mess, I'm in the middle of creating!

For my card today, I used some Simon Says Stamp goodies:
Stamps from SSS Beautiful Flowers
Die is SSS Hearts Alive Die
Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed
Some Post-It tape
Sponge ink applicators
Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink

I wanted it to be a one layer card so I put the ink and "love & hugs" stamps on the inside after inking the pink and yellow.  Here's a look at the inside of the finished card:

And here's a look at the Post-It tape on the inside while I was inking:

And one final view:

This card was super fast and easy and I love how it turned out.

Can you guess the song?  "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" - so I put a little "Love" stamp and a "hugs" stamp inside the hearts!  : )
