Joy Clair Challenge using Valentine Background and Best Buds

Hello and welcome!  There's a brand new challenge over at Joy Clair starting today!
Joy Clair challenges are always Anything Goes but you can also choose to be inspired by the challenge graphic if you like!  Here's the inspiration!



 I'm here today with a card using two of the new release sets from Joy Clair - I think they are so cute!   I used Joy Clair Best Buds and Joy Clair Valentine Background stamp sets.  

   

Here's how I made this:

1)  Cut a strip of patterned paper and stamp the Valentine background:

2)  Mat that paper on a black piece of card stock, then stamp the two cute kitties from Best Buds:

3)  Color the kitties with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol:

4)  Attach the sentiment strip and add a few die cut hearts floating upwards:

And here's the finished card:

I can't wait to send this to one of my grandkids!  I hope you are having a great time making and sending Valentine cards this month!
