More Rainbow Bday Cards

I made 2 more birthday cards for my stash today using rainbow panels I made earlier.  The first card was made with a circle die, watercolor paper, white card base, Nuvo Jewel drops, and a big flower embossing folder.  The second card was made with Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Messages and Sparkle die.  I put the rainbow panel behind the flower openings, then added Nuvo Jewel drops.

I will enter the 2nd card in:

Crafty Hugs & Rainbow Flowers

I made several rainbow panels today to use on cards with my Distress Crayons.  I used some tiny Art Impressions flower dies (that I won in a lot of goodies so I don't know the name of them) and also a die from Paper Smooches Polka Dot Borders die set.  I put the flowers together with tiny black brads from my stash.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white and it's from Altenew's "Crafty Friends" stamp set.  Below are a few more views:

Rainbow Better Place

I had a little time to play today in the cave!  I used Concord & 9th "Globe Greetings" stamp set and Distress Crayons to make this rainbow card.  I used a variety of circle dies to frame the sentiment and also to add color around it.  It looks like the white pierced circle is placed on top of the rainbow circle, but actually the white is the card panel and the two rainbow circles (one with sentiment, and outermost one) were cut with dies and placed on the white card panel.  I also used a scalloped edge die for interest.

Hero Arts Stencils with Stamps

Hi there!  I'm over at the a2z scrapbooking blog with this card - check it out HERE!

I think I really have a thing for stencils so today I used a stencil and stamp combination technique.
I used the stencil with some inks and then moved it over slightly and inked it again in different colors, to give it a different look.  Then I stamped the tiny stars and hearts in the center of each Asian flower.

I used:  Hero Arts Bold Asian Flower Stencil, Distress inks, Gina K heavyweight card stock,  Hero Arts You're So Lovely stamp set (for the hello), and the Hero Arts Love Little Heart stamp (Love sentiment),  From my stash I used some star dies, a scalloped stitched rectangle die,  and a few tiny heart and star stamps.

Hope you enter a project in the Anything Goes Challenge this month at a2zscrapbooking!
There's one day left!

Wheelie Great!

Happy weekend!  Hope you are having a good one!

Today I made this "You're Wheelie Great" card using Newtons Nook's "Newton Scoots By" stamp set.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and sparkle pen, added green grass with Lawn Fawn's Meadow Borders die, and a Nuvo glitter drop on his collar.  I masked the image and sponged kraft ink above the grass.  I will enter this in:

Just Us Girls Wild Card Week - Something Old, Something New

There a new challenge at Just Us Girls this week - Use something old and/or something new!
My something old-two Stampin Up stamp sets from 2002!  "Flaky Friends" and "Holiday Wishes".  I combine them with something new:  Some silver Nuvo Mousse with a new stencil from Hero Arts called "Deco Pattern".  After I made the background with the silver mouse, stencil and red card stock, I decided it was just to busy for the image so I cut two thin strips of it for each side of the black card panel and mounted the oval image in the center.  I colored selectively on the snowmen with only one color and added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the snowy little guys!
I hope you will play along with us this week!

Primary Colors Beautiful Day

I was playing with Distress Crayons and made a panel with primary colors blue, red and yellow.
After coloring and slightly blending the crayons, I splattered Distress Oxide inks in the same colors for a speckled look!  I used Wplus9 "Doodle Buds" stamp set and dies for this card.

Distress Ink Backgrounds

Hello and I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!  I made these two card this morning with a few challenges in mind.  Both cards have flowers and leaves from the Altenew "Garden Treasure" stamp set stamped on Distress Ink water colored backgrounds.  The flowers were stamped on watercolored tissue paper, then fussy cut.  Both backgrounds were made with white card stock and cut with stitched rectangle dies from MFT.  The first card "Thinking of You" is from Hero Arts "Hello Stamp & Cut" set heat embossed in white, and the "Autumn Wishes" stamped sentiment on the second card is from Winnie & Walter "The Big the Bold & Seasons" stamp set.  The flower centers are gems from my stash.
