Love on Leap Year

Here's a fun card made for Leap Year!  Embossed kraft panel with brick embossing panel, then cut out window with Sizzix die, popped that panel up on fun foam, added frosted vellum under window openings, added the little frog and heart then mounted it all up on fun foam and foam dots for dimension.  I stamped the sentiment from Jane's Doodles Home Sweet Home set on cs that had been inked with Distress Ink, and then stamped and colored the heart then die cut it with MFT Stitched Scalloped Retangle die.  Slipped some thin black strips of cardstock under brick panel to anchor the edges a little.  I also cut a small red heart with a Paper Smooches die then mounted it on the edge of the window, so the froggie would have a sweet little heart in front of him.  I know one of my grandkids will be getting this card - they love critter cards!

Daisy Love

A dear crafty friend of mine for Christmas sent me a bunch of die cuts for Christmas - it was such a thoughtful gift.  She knew I didn't have very many Cheery Lynn Designs dies and that I really like them.  I used these dies cuts she sent me from CLD Daisy Strip and attached them with a vintage bronze tiny brad, then strung a little piece of Beadsmith 24 gauge vintage bronze wire for the flower stem.  I added 2 strips of floral washi tape in pink and green to the bottom of the wire to secure it to the card, then added the sentiment over it up on pop dots.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called "Let Love Grow" that I just love!  I have been wanting "postage stamp" type dies but haven't wanted to spend the $ on them yet, so I figured how to make it look like that by using my dots die from Paper Smooches Dots and Dashes dies and then cutting down the middle of the cut out dots so it looks like a postage stamp!  Much cheaper way to get the same effect and now that I figured it out, I can do it on any size square or rectangle or straight line I need it on!  Lastly added Wink of Stella on daisy and May Arts dotted ribbon on the side.

If you scroll down you can see the Wink of Stella on the flower and a close up of the wire.

Butterfly Wishes

Having fun today in the woman cave....will be away from it quite a bit this week - judging lots of music contests and doing a few clinics - so trying to get in my craft fun before the craziness begins!

Entering this in the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #161 and the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #349 see the photo inspiration below...I don't have any princess stamps so I tried to follow the colors and used pearls and pink - closest things I have to princess theme!

I used butterfly dies from Memory Box, stamps from Avery Elle "Sending" stamp set and pearls/cardstock from my stash.  I think this is a perfect birthday card for a princess!

Happy Birdy

This is for a family member, I really like that sentiment - kind of silly, but I just like it!
Bird is from Lawn Fawn Party Animals and so is the balloon.  I fussy cut balloon out of kraft and white polka dot pp.  Used Happy Birthday embossing folder on top part, added a  green and kraft strip to center, then stamped 2 hearts and the sentiment from Impression Obsession "Heartlines" set.  Colored in the hearts and added Wink of Stella to the bird and the hearts.  Entering this in the following challenges:

Leap Year Love

Love leap years, and these cute little frogs!
Entering this in these challenges:

Here's how I made it.  Watercolored Tim Holtz watercolor paper after masking off the edges and the clouds, with Distress Inks, sprayed and dripped water on it for the splotchy effect - is that a word?  Trimmed top panel and cut black mat and adhered it all to the white cardbase.  The die cut words are from Tim Holtz set, (I stacked black and textured green patterned paper to get some height on the sentiment and then added little black polka dots to the words for interest.  The raindrop bling and the frogs are from the Dollar Store.  I don' have any frog stamps but I did buy these stickers some time ago, thinking they would be cute for one of my grandkids either to play with or to make them a card..............................................
I love to look through my stash to see what I have.

Happy Leap Year!

I did middle vertical row, 3 colors, free and die cut.
I used cardstock from Gina K Designs, in white, red and moonlit fog, along with GKD moonlit fog ink.  First I stenciled the polka dot tone on tone on a piece of moonlit fog then cut a strip for the side and a circle for the hole in the middle of the flower.  The stamps all came from the new Hero Arts "So Lovely" set and the flower die is also new from Hero Arts - Paper Layering Mum die cut.  I cut one out all the way and inked over it with pink and red inks, then stamped a background stamps on it with moonlit fog to give it some interest.  Then I curled up the leaves to give the 3D look this die cut is meant to do.   The little heart is a punch and also used red cardstock for a thin strips to anchor the polka dots on the left.  Topped the heart, flower center and parts of the petals with Wink of Stella.

I hope you all have a Beautiful Day!!

My Friend

Watercolor background card made for the StampTV Addicts Challenge hosted by Karen Hightower.
I used Blue Lagoon and Applemint inks to watercolor the background on Tim Holtz watercolor paper, then spray it with water, then cut it out with a dotted rectangle die from MFT, cut a mat in the Blue Lagoon cardstock and mounted it on Applemint card base.  I added dots inside the butterfly with a sharpie pen.
I used stamps from the Made With Love StampTV Kit.  Added a few Rainstones from Papertrey Ink.

So Lovely

Used the new Paper Layering Mum Flower Die from Hero Arts and their new set "You're So Lovely" to create this card for The Card Concept #49 Floral Radiance Challenge.  Inks used were all Distress Inks, Masked of floral design by cutting one out and fussy cutting edges that weren't cut by die and sponging background ink, then left mask in place to stamp music note background.  After stamping music, I die cut the flower again, right on the actual card front and popped up all the pretty petals that it cuts.

Added some leaves from the same stamp set with more distress inks and then added sentiment and yellow flower center - bling from my stash.  Mounted on Charcoal Brown GKD cardstock.  Here's a link to that challenge:

I think this style is Clean and Layered....(for The Card Concept)
