Spellbinders Little Smiles Release Cards

Here's a closer look at my card:



I dry embossed the 3D folder on watercolor paper after apply light blue ink with a brayer on the debossed side of the folder and ran it through my machine.  I tore it and added it to the top of a piece of A2 dark blue card stock.  I cut all the pieces from the Go Kart Go set from different colors of papers and glued them together, and then put the car/critter on the bottom left corner and the balloon characters coming from the car to the starry sky.

The sentiment was made with the same blue ink on the Little Smiles Sentiments BetterPress plate and the BetterPress system with my Platinum 6 machine.  I added white paint pen on the bottom of the card front.  I added the blue panel to a card base and my card was complete.

My second card was made the same way with the Swing Among the Stars die set and used another sentiment from the BetterPress plate set.


The only difference in these die cuts is I inked the edged of them in a little darker ink than the cardstock color.  The background for this card was made with the BetterPress Falling Stars plate, inked with 3 different color inks before running it through my BetterPress System in my Platinum 6.

I just love the little basket, hippo and smiling star!  There's also a bunny in both of the sets, along with the monkey in the Go Kart Go set and a bunny is also in this set, Swing Among the Stars.  I also cut extra blue sentiment strips to outline the sentiment so it would show up better on the white background.

Here's my 3rd card:

This card background was made with both the 3D embossing folder and the BetterPress plate star plates.  I also used the January 3D embossing folder for behind the car.  The sentiment was from the same set as other cards and also the clouds.  For fun I added tiny hearts coming out of the back of the car like exhaust!
