Hello and welcome! Today the design team from Riley and Company are participating in a design team summer challenge called "Life's a Beach!"
Here's my supply list - https://ldli.co/e/rnqyl7z (includes affiliate links at no extra cost to you)
If you are interested in any of the supplies I used, by clicking on and shopping through my supply list link above, I receive a small amount which helps compensate me for my creative work! Thanks for your support!
Here's a closer look at my card!
I used Riley and Company's "Swim the Ocean"sentiment stamp, "Dress Up at the Beach"stamp and die set, "Sophie Gathering Seashells" stamp, and "Wavy Border" Cut-Ups stand alone die.
I started by adding Distress Oxide inks very lightly a 5" by 7" piece of card stock. I colored and cut all my beach images plus 3 of the wavy border die from different colors of blue card stock I had in my stash.
Can you guess what I used for the beach at the bottom?
If you guessed sandpaper, you are correct! I raided my husband's toolbox for just the right piece!
I played around with the layout and once I was happy with it I stamped the sentiment in the top right corner and started glueing down pieces and popping some of them up on foam tape.
Also, I didn't have a shark to put in the water so I drew one on white card stock and then cut it out to add it to the water. Once I added the shark, I took a light blue Zig marker and added a few ripples in the water to make it look more realistic. My shark fin could be mistaken for a sailboat, haha, but either works for my card!
To give the surf board the look of being stuck in the sand, I cut a slit in the sandpaper and card stock behind it so I could tuck the end of the surf board into the opening. Lastly I added the panel to a 5" by 7" white card base and added some Wink of Stella to give the water waves some shimmer and shine.

I had a lot of fun creating this card for the DT challenge!
Hope you like my card for today! Here's another link to the supply list, or you can click on items below.
