Just Because - Cards for Ukraine with Creative Expressions

Hello and welcome!

Today I have a card made with supplies from Creative Expressions in support of the people of Ukraine as they fight for their homeland.  #cardsforukraine

For my card I took a mini slimline cover die called "If Friends Were Flowers" and cut it from watercolor card stock.  I colored the flowers with yellow and blue Zig Clean Color Markers, a waterbrush, a word stamp and die combo set called "Because."

Once the coloring was completed and dry, I took a black ink pad and lightly rubbed it across the surface of the die cut and all of the raised edges were lightly "kissed" with black in.  I cut the die cut up and cut off flowers and leaves then added them to a white square piece of watercolor card stock.  I matted that on a slightly bigger black card stock square. and then to a mini card base panel that had been embossed with the "Hearts on a String" 3D embossing folder.  I added some white gel pen highlights and gems to the middle of the blue flowers.  Lastly I stamped the "just" and added the layered "because" die cut from the same set as mentioned above.  Here's one last look at my card:

 

I hope you like my card for today.  I have, along with the rest of the world, watched the news in horror seeing what is happening to the people of Ukraine.  I, like many, feeling helpless, created this card to show my support to the people who are so courageously defending their democracy.

May God Bless them and give them strength and help the rest of the world wisely figure out the best ways to help them restore peace to their country.
