"Thanks Snow Much" with Newton's Nook

Hello and welcome!

I have a card today that was inspired by the sketch challenge over at  Inky Paws Challenge #165 :

Normally I avoid sketch challenges because I am really not good at them.  It takes me forever to come up with a design when I have to follow a sketch so I rarely participate!  But I challenged myself to go for it and here's what I came up with.

I used two new to me stamp sets from a recent release:
1)  Snow Angel Newton and
2)  Snow Angel Puppy

To make my card I took a scalloped edge that I had and used it to ink the inside of an A2 card base with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  Next I took a black sharpie and drew over the scalloped edge to define it more.  I stamped, clear heat embossed, cut and colored both images with alcohol markers and colored pencils.  Next I cut a banner from some black and white patterned paper in my stash, cut them short and then added them on top of the right and left side of the card.  Next I added both the puppy and Newton to the card front.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white on black card stock.  Next, I added some snowflake sequins from my stash and put silver Nuvo drops in their centers.  Lastly I rounded all four 4 corners and my card was complete!

Here's one last look:

I hope you enjoyed my card for today!  I think these cute snow angel critters from Newton's Nook are simply adorable!  I will link all my supplies below if you are interested!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
