Hello and welcome to the first ever Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge!
where the theme this month is:
This monthly challenge, created by the amazing Amy Tsuruta, will be sponsored each month by a different generous crafty company! This month generous sponsor is Reverse Confetti.
They are offering a $30 gift card to our lucky winner! You can check out all the details about the challenge HERE!
I will normally be posting my challenge inspiration card half way through each month on the 15th, along with teammate Kathy, and Amy and Lisa will start the challenge off each first of the month. But for this inaugural month I wanted to join in on the 1st of the month too to celebrate the start of something great!!!
Here's a look at my card for the challenge:
All of my supplies are linked below!
For my card I used the Reverse Confetti "Christmas Bear" stamp set for the images and sentiment and I used the heart coffee cup from a Simon Says Stamp mini set called "Coffee Hour." The images were stamped in black and colored with Zig Clean Color brushes, a water brush, and colored pencils. Once they were colored, I stamped the tiny triple snowflake stamp all over the card in Versamark ink and heat embossed them in white.
I stamped the bear and tree (and little bird on the bear's head) on masking paper and fussy cut them out to mask the images so I could ink the blue sky. The sky is a combination of Speckled Egg, Mermaid Lagoon, and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks, blended with a domed foam blender.
Once I was happy with the inking I cut the panel down a little and then used a dotted oval die at an angle to cut the bear and tree out. I added the cut up rectangle to the card base and then popped up the oval die for dimension. Then I went crazy with my white gel pen adding more little snow dots everywhere! I added a little white gel pen to the coloring and then heat embossed the sentiment in white on black card stock. I cut it into a strip and then added thin foam tape to the bottom edge and tucked the sentiment under the cute bear's coffee cup.
I added both Sparkle Pen and Glossy Accents to the bear's nose, the drink in his cup and the star on the tree. Next I took Ruby Crystal Fairy Sugar from Memory Box and added it to all the garland on the tree. Lastly I used Dew Drops Fairy Sugar, also from Memory Box in the center of every larger snowflake for some more sparkle.
Here's one last look!
I hope you like my card for the inaugural Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge and will have a chance to join us this month. I'll be back on January 15th with some more inspiration! I'm so thankful to be on this CCCC team with Amy, Lisa, and Kathy.
Amy has a fun year planned for us and we all hope you join us!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
