Cheers to the Best Beers!

Hello and welcome!

Today I have a fun "Cheers" card for you made with the newly released stamp set from Visible Image called "Bring on the Beers!"  I have been waiting for the new stamps to arrive for quite a while as they got stuck in transit and took a while to arrive.  In the meantime, my brain was churning with all kinds of projects to make once they arrived!

One project I wanted to make was a card for my son's return from Qatar where he was serving our country at the Air Force base which was housing all the thousands of refugees from Afganistan as they fled their country.  He is an engineer responsible for the building of the tent cities needed to house them.  And with such a rush of refugees in such a short time, they worked tirelessly with no time off to build the tent city in record time.  I'm so proud of him and I wanted to make him a welcome home card, so this is my card for him.  I know he will be enjoying being back home with his wife and 2 children and will be enjoying a beer or two with his buddies now that he is home.  I thank God for his safe return!

For my card I used 3 Distress Inks with the Visible Image Fibres stencil and a finger dauber.  I used the several stamps from the set, the glass, the sentiments, the bubbles, and the bottle cap on my card.  I also used some ink splatter, a sparkle pen on the glass and some Cosmic Shimmer "Fluffy Stuff" on the beer foam.  If you are not familiar with it, after you squeeze some on and heat it with your heat gun, it puffs up with lots of dimension.  Great for foam, snow, etc. on your cards.  Here's another look at my card:

If you look closely at the top of the glass, you can see the dimension of the foam.  So fun!

I'll be putting this card in the mail to my son today!  I hope he likes it!
