Just Us Girls Challenge #595 - Anything But a Card

Hello and welcome!  There's a brand new challenge this week at Just Us Girls hosted by Ina!
Since there's a 5th Saturday in July, it's time for the Wild Card Challenge and here's the theme she has chosen:

Here'a note from Ina, with some ideas:   ATC/Coins, Tags, Scrapbook Page, Mixed Media, Gift Box etc.

For my project I decided to cover a little notebook I picked up at the Dollar Tree with some of my favorite eucalyptus paper from Hobby Lobby.  Here's a closer look at my notebook:

I need to make about 12 of these for an upcoming crafty retreat that I am going to.  Every attendee makes a goodie for everyone there and this will be what I make for everyone this year.

I also made a belly band out of deep teal card stock, an oval die, and some flowers from my stash.
I actually got these flowers at the retreat last year.  One other thing we do at this retreat is bring stuff we no longer want or use and put it on a large table and everyone can go through it and take whatever they like.
When I saw these pretty little flowers with gold leaves, I just had to have them!

The "Just a Note" word die is from Memory Box and the oval die is from Tutti Designs.
Here's one last look:

I hope you will have a chance to participate in this week's challenge!
I can't wait to see your project!

Be sure to stop by the blog to see what our amazing guest, Chrissie Stokes, and the whole team have prepared for your inspiration HERE.

I wanted to share pics of all the notebooks I made for the gift exchange at the craft retreat so here they are.
They were all made with paper except the gray and yellow one with the animals, that is actually fabric.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  12. This is so gorgeous! And so are your other notebooks. I used to go to a stamp retreat and had to make something to share. I used to love going to them! We don't have anyone who wants to organize it anymore. Hope you had/have fun at it!
