All Things Grow With Love - with MFT Stamps

Hello and welcome!  I have a fun mini slimline encouragement card today made with some lovely products that I recently purchased with a gift card that I won in an MFT Challenge.  I'm so grateful to have won as my wish list from MFT stamps is always a mile long!

Here's a closer look at my card:

I started by stamping and heat embossing the images on Bristol Smooth card stock and then colored them with alcohol markers.

I recently purchased 3 sets of Ohuhu markers, (all linked below) because I had read several really good reviews of them.  There's no way I will ever be able to afford to buy a full set of Copies, even just a little at a time, they are just so expensive. I have about 20 in my collection.  But I do have other markers, some from Spectrum Noir and Altenew as well as several sets of watercolor markers (Zigs and Karin)  and I love all of them a lot.  I just really wanted to see what the deal was with the Ohuhu markers because they are just so inexpensive.  I think with Prime Day I paid less than $145 for 3 sets, one big set of 120, one set of 48 pastels, and one set of 36 skin tones.  Wow, that's a lot of markers for the price - 204 markers for just under $145 - it came to about .70 cents a piece.

If I was a professional artist, I could see maybe trying to build and buy a stash of Copies, but really what I have in my stash are just fine and blend beautifully for what I need to do.  And because of the low price point, I can have so many colors on hand to chose for my coloring and blending!  I linked the Ohuhu markers directly to their site, and yes it is an affiliate link at no extra cost to you.

Here's a closer look at the coloring - I'm by no means a pro at coloring but I am able to get some good blending going.  Normally I go in with colored pencils after the alcohol markers anyway to tweak the shading, etc., but I didn't even do that on this card so you can see just what I did with the markers themselves.

The grass is cut from patterned paper in my stash with Lawn Fawn's dies and inked a little at the top with Distress Oxide inks.  After coloring the images and cutting them out (fussy cutting, because I wanted them cut right up to the lines) I arranged everything on my card and added some elements with glue and others with foam tape.  Below you can see the inking on the tops of the grass better.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white on black card.  I used a piece of washi tape below the sentiment and added a tiny coral colored heart along with white gel pen accents.  Here's one last look at my card.

Here are the sets that my MFT images and sentiment came from.
All are linked at the bottom of this post...

Bring Out the Sunshine:  girl and basket of flowers
Sunflower Sweetheart:  birds, fence and sentiment
Our Story:  the dog

I have linked all my supplies below if you are interested in them and thanks so much for stopping by.
I have entered this in  both the MFT color and sketch challenge, but entered both from my IG account.

Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Thanks!
