Mandala Acetate with Gilding Flakes

 

Hello and welcome!

I have been having lots of fun playing in the craft cave today, using things that are not my norm!

I have used some Mandala pre-printed acetate along with double sided adhesive, clear acetate, gilding flakes, dies, stamps, ink, embossing powder, and 3D accents, all from Creative Expressions!

Here's a close up look at the mandala:

To make my card I first took a piece of double sided adhesive and added Cosmic Shimmer "Autumn Leaves" gilding flakes.  Once I finished I added the flakes side to a piece of clear acetate with some more double sided adhesive to make a lovely colorful fall background.

Next I took the acetate mandala sheet and adhered it to the acetate side of the colorful fall background, then trimmed the extra acetate off.  I glued the mandala to the card base toward the upper left.  

I cut several of the Bold Shadowed Hello sentiment die and stacked them in the center of the mandala.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Woodware's "Birthday Strips" stamp set (also from Creative Expressions.)  Then I cut it into a banner and popped it up on foam tape toward the right side of the card.  Lastly, I added gold 3D Accents, also from Cosmic Shimmer.
