It's a Great Day to Celebrate with Creative Expressions

Hello and welcome!  I'm here today with a card made with some amazing newly released dies from Creative Expressions.  I used the new "Bold Words Celebrate" stamp and die set CEDSD015, and the "Floral Panels - Flowering Dogwood" CED2050 die set along with the smaller butterfly die from the previously released "Butterfly Delights CED1533.  (All of these are designed by Sue Wilson.)

Here's how I made my card.

1)  Take an A2 size piece of watercolor card and smoosh it with light green and yellow Distress Inks and water, then dry it with a heat tool.

2)  Cut the "Flowering Dogwood" without the frame around it from A2 sizes of white and green card stock on the same left side of the card stock.   Layer and adhere the white panel over the green slightly offset so you can see both colors.

3)  Cut a 2" strip of the smooshed watercolored paper and adhere it to back the opening behind the leaves.

4)  Trim the panel down to 4" by 5.25"

5)  Die cut the "Celebrate" word die, 2 times from white, 1 time from black and 1 time from watercolored paper.  Stack them 2 white, 1 black and watercolored die cut on top slightly offset to give it more dimension.

6)  Add the panel to a green card base and add a white piece of card stock 4" by 5.25" inside the card.  This will make it easier to write a sentiment on it.

7)  Stamp the "It's a great day" in black in on the card front, then add the stacked "Celebrate" die cut. 

8)  Die cut the smallest butterfly from "Butterfly Delights" CED1533 and add to leaves.  Add a few small gems to the back of the butterfly.
