Hello and welcome! This weeks starts a new trend challenge at Just Us Girls and I'm hosting!
I decided on "Stripes," for the trend and used striped grass and shirts on my card.
My card for this week is a fun critter slimline birthday card that I made with lots of ink blending, critter stamping and coloring, die cutting and a little heat embossing. Here's a closer look at the card:

I first took a slimline panel and inked the top portion with Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire Mermaid Lagoon, and Evergreen Bough, and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks and domed ink blending foams. Next I sprayed it with water. To finish the background, I splattered white on it with a paint brush and white paint.
Next I stamped, heat embossed and colored images from Birthday Bear and Friends, and Snuggle Bunnies stamp sets from MFT Stamps. They were colored with Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush and then cut out. For the bottom of the card I used the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders dies on two patterned papers from the Sweet Celebration pack, also from MFT Stamps and layered them on the bottom edge.
I arranged the critters, balloons, etc. on the card, some in front of the grass, some in the grass and some behind the grass and adhered them with glue and foam tape. The sentiment is from the Birthday Bear and Friends MFT stamp set, heat embossed in white on black card stock. I cut it into a banner and added it to the card with foam tape. Lastly I cut tiny butterflies from Memory Box glitter paper with the Memory Box Butterfly Sprinkles die and added them around the card.

ReplyDeleteOh Angie, I saw this over at JUGS and at first only say the striped paper on the bottom of the card, now that I came by and looked more carefully I see the critters have striped clothing! You are so creative! Awesome card!
