Hello and welcome!
I have a slimline birthday card made with products from Altenew and one die from Honey Bee Stamps.
Here's another look:
The floral clusters are from the "Beautiful Day" stamp set, colored with Karin markers, water, and paint brush. The sentiment is from the Birthday Greetings stamp set, heat embossed in white on dark gray card stock. The blanket die background cut from the same dark gray card stock is from Honey Bee Stamps.
I love to use that blanket die as a backdrop for my main panel, so I will cut my top panel to fit just inside the blanket die. I usually do this by cutting the top panel also from the blanket die and trimming it with scissors along the stitched edge. I think next time I will try to just cut the main panel from the die and then mask off the center and use markers to color the fringe. I think you can get the same look with less bulk, especially for mailing purposes.
Here's a few more views:
I hope you like my slimline birthday card! I really need to build up my stash of birthday cards as it has become really depleted lately! Stay safe my fiends and thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeletebeautiful card Angie. Love the stunning florals.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower design and I love the blanket die you used with it too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beauty Angie and I really like that blanket die. How you make it fit a slimline intrigues me as I'm sure it is a smaller die for smaller size cards. Your idea of colouring the fringe instead of cutting more layers is a good one.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Angie. Your coloring of the flowers is amazing, Great idea to color the fringe to eliminate some bulk.
