Just Us Girls Photo Challenge #559

Hello and welcome!
There's a brand new photo challenge at Just Us Girls Challenge blog hosted by Nancy
and here's the photo she chose!

Here's a closer look at the picture

I was inspired but the lovely flowers on the table and the wood elements.
Here's another look at my card:

For my background, I was inspired by my friend Zelda (who works for Scrapbook.com) and her video HERE.:

To make the wood background I scored a piece of card stock and then ran Tattered Rose Distress Ink down the length of the paper.  Next I cut it with the Honey Bee Stamps blanket slimline die but it didn't exactly cut correctly so after running it through my Gemini Jr. again, it must have shifted and lots of the fringe got cut off!   So I cut it on the dotted line, then recut the blanket die from white with much better luck this time!  I added the vellum sentiment (from Gina K Designs) to the woodgrain panel by taping it on the back and then put it on top of the white fringe panel.  I added that to the card base, then started working on my flowers.

Here's a closer look:

The flowers are from Pinkfresh Studio, stamped in black and heat embossed in clear.
After I watercolored them with Zigs and Zen watercolor brushes, I cut it out with the coordinating die and then added it to the card front.  It was a little too big so I turned it over and cut off the excess flowers/leaves.  Lastly I added some gems and some black paint pen dots for interest.

Here's one last look at my card:

I hope you are inspired to join in the fun this week!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Be sure to stop by the JUGS blog to see what our amazing guest designer, Karen Walker and the whole team have made to inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
