Just Us Girls Trend Challenge #553 - Cut Into Thirds




Hello and welcome!  There's a brand new challenge over at Just Us Girls Challenge hosted by Nancy.
Here's what she has chosen:


For my card I decided to divide my card in thirds with diagonal lines.  The floral stamp is from Altenew and the sentiment is from a digital stamp set from Polka Dot Orchard called "Happy Star."
The top and bottom of the card was inked with Distress Oxide inks in pink and blue.

After inking them, I took a paint brush and water and colored some sections of the flower to lighten the color.  After that dried I added some white gel pen accents and some metallic marker dots in pink and blue colors.  Here's a closer look:

    You are a master of your craft and this is both a wonderful design and elegantly pretty card. I just love it. I shall have to try doing a layout like this one of these days.

    The colours you chose look fab together! I briefly debated a diagonal division, but decided there was too much math involved for my brain that day. :D It's perfect here with the bold flower image~ Beautiful card.

    That flower image is perfect for the way you divided your card, Angie. Part on each of the colored sections and the rest down the middle.

    I love your take on this challenge! I never would have thought to ink up the panels to separate them. This is so pretty and I love how you painted the flowers to lighten them up!
