Just Us Girls Word Challenge #534 - Hero


Hello and welcome!  There's a brand new word week challenge over at Just Us Girls hosted by Nancy and here is the word she has chosen:

As soon as I saw the word I knew I wanted to use one of the free digital stamps offered by My Favorite Things that honors our nurses and doctors fighting the coronavirus.

Here's a closer look at my card:


I used a Tim Holtz stencil called "Rays" and inked it on the card front with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink.  The sentiment is from the same free set and it is matted on a black strips.  The hearts are from the Simon Says Stamp "Heart Breeze" die cut from dark red card stock.  The nurse was colored with alcohol markers.

    I am so going to have to steal ...I mean borrow this idea using the ray of sunshine! I am so in love with this layout! I also am intrigued by the softness of her scrubs! You are talented my friend! Stay well!

    I love the 'rays' as a background here Angie thinking that it is a ray of hope this pandemic will be over soon. Lovely layout with the pretty hearts too.
