Hello and welcome!
Today starts a brand new challenge over at Just Us Girls - it's a 5th week challenge, that's why it's called Wild Card! It's hosted by Nancy and here's the theme she has chosen:
For my card I used digital pattern papers. If you have not tried these yet, I highly recommend them.
Mine are from a Graciellie Design paper pack called "Summer Sunflowers."
I printed the dotted pattern with the digital sunflower stamps together on kraft card stock, along with some of the sentiments from the set so I could decide which one to use later.
The sunflower digital stamps are from Graciellie Design Summer Sunflowers digital stamp set and the sentiment is from Beautiful Birthday Wishes digital stamp set.
The 2nd paper I used from the same pack was the orange and white striped paper and I printed it on white paper and used it on the bottom section of my slimline card.
I colored the images with alcohol markers and Prismacolor pencils then cut it out with a Pinkfresh Studio diagonal stitched slimline die along with the striped paper too. I added them to the card and then added a black strip in between the papers and cut the sentiment to fit on top of the black strip.
I added lots of black Nuvo drops to the card, including the flower centers.
I always seem to go crazy with the Nuvo drops!
Hope you like my slimline Sunflower card using 2 patterned papers!
I really enjoyed making it for the challenge!

Very pretty. I like the mix of patterns with the sunflower and I am really enjoying all the slim line cards. When you have the skill of using the Nuvo drops (I don't) you can never have too many.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful with the slimline design and beautiful sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteGreat eye-catching card, Angie! I love these big, bright, bold sunflowers against the DP background! Thanks so much for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday this week! Take care! :)
ReplyDeleteWow this is so pretty! I love the papers and colors of this card! I used to be on a design team for a company (now defunct) that had some amazing digital papers. I loved using them. I still have the files and should look into using them sometime soon. You've inspired me!
ReplyDeleteYou have been coloring up some amazing florals Angie! This card is fabulous. Love the patterns and your coloring of course! top notch my friend. Now I am going to go fix your linky. It isn't working.
ReplyDeleteI love the pairing of dotty and striped papers on your card! Thanks for playing along with us at SeizeThe Birthday :)
ReplyDeleteThe stripes and polka dots work well together with the sunflowers, Angie. I wish I knew anything about working with digital stamps. The most I can do is print a simple image and colors it.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous Angie. Love the slimline use here. Fabulous use of those papers.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Your skinny cards are fabulous
ReplyDeleteThose sunflowers are amazing and the papers you paired them up with are absolutely perfect! I love the tall card design.
