Just Us Girls Photo Challenge #537

Hello and welcome!  There's a brand new challenge at Just Us Girls, a photo challenge hosted by Bobby and here's a look at what she has chosen:

Here's a closer look at the photo:

Be sure to stop by the the JUGS blog to see what our amazing guest designer: Deborah Frings has made to inspire you along with the rest of the JUGS team too!

I took my inspiration from the pattern on the chair backs and the table greenery.
So for my card I used a stencil by A Colorful Life called Currents and Distress Inks in orange and navy one way and then turned the stencil and inked with burgundy ink.  The panel was way to busy and wild for my clean and simple style so I cut just an oval from it, matted it and the added Tim Holtz Wildflower dies to it.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

All of my supplies are linked below if you are interested in them

Here's a close up look:

And one last look:

I hope you will have time to create something for this challenge and are inspired by the JUGS team designs for the week.  Check them out HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. I love that fun background for the beautiful flowers! I like how you cut the oval for that piece and it is perfectly inspired by the photo.

  5. Great job with what I found was a difficult photo. I am a huge fan of navy and I love the way you made your background paper to mimic the chairs. Well done Angie!

  6. So inspired by how you 'tamed' your background (I love that it's busy!) and transformed it into a more CAS style! It's the perfect canvas for your pretty flowers! I need to remember that framing/down-sizing busy patterns can have significant impact; I've tossed too many of those, thinking they're 'lost causes'! Thank you for the inspiration!

  8. With all that's going on in the photo you managed to keep to your style with a wonderful CAS card, Angie. The stencil picked up the movement in the chair fabric without cluttering the design.
