For the New Mother-To-Be with Altenew "Celebrations"

Hello and welcome!

I have another slimline card today featuring stamps from Altenew's "Celebrations" stamp set.

I needed a card for a mother-to-be so I took the sentiments "for the bride to be" and "for the new mother" from this set and combined them to make "for the new mother to be."  I think it turned out okay, as I am always a little nervous when I take my scissors to any stamp set I really like!

The coloring was done with, (please don't laugh) Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils.  I had bought these for Bible journaling because they don't bleed through the delicate pages of my Bible and I thought I'd pull them out and use them on this card.  Since I wasn't planning on doing any shading on the coloring and wanted a kind of lighter delicate look to the coloring.

I also used a black pen to add some dots for fun plus a gingham black and white ribbon to the top of the tag.  The tag die is not linked below as it is a retired die from My Favorite Things set.

If you do any Bible journaling, these very inexpensive pencils (Crayola Twistable) are perfect for a "no bleed-through" look and are not damaging to the thin pages of your Bible.  Plus they are erasable which is awesome if you change your mind or make a mistake!
