Hello and welcome!
I was so lucky to win an Instagram contest recently held by Birch Tree Designs and won this lovely String Art die. I was able to cut several of them before my electric Big Shot died!
So now I am in the market for a new die cutting machine and will have to do some good research to see which one I want to replace it with. I still have my old Cuttlebug but will be looking for a non-crank one due to the arthritis in my hands!
Here's another look:
I took ink pads in the colors of The Color Throwdown challenge this week, and put them direct to paper then blended the peach, pink and berry more to make the transition from one ink to the next look smoother. I cut several String Art dies from white black and the inked panel and stacked them up on top of each other.
I stamped the sentiment from Pink Fresh Studio's "Let's Flamingo" stamp set
Next I used the left over inked panel to cut some hearts with the Simon Says Stamp Heart Breeze die and added them in different places on the card front. To give them a little shine, I added Wink of Stella to each heart.
I have linked my supplies below.
Here's one last look...
I hope you enjoyed my die cut card today. Let me know what you think and also if you have any recommendation on which die-cutting machine I should look into for my crafty cave!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a fantastic die you won. I just love the cards you have made with it. I have a crank machine and it cuts so well that I doubt I will replace it unless it dies. And, it is very easy to use as I don't have to add shims hardly ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks Verna!
DeleteWhat a fun die. Your card is beautiful. I have a Gemini Jr. and it cuts great. The only downside is the pads do warp if you don't remember to flip them. I got it at a really good price at a scrapbooking show a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy....I'd like a Gemini....I am still thinking about which one I want.
DeleteAwesome card and love that die design. I really like those Birch Tree dies but the price normally puts me off. Sorry about your Big Shot. I'm cranking mine too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Angie, love the colors.
