Hello and welcome - today is World Cardmaking Day 2019 - I hope all my card making buddies are enjoying their day and getting in some crafting time.
For me, it's has been a tough time of sad news. I just received word that a dear friend that lives many miles away is deathly ill. I'm so very sad and made this card as a tribute to her. She is an amazing musician, person, mentor, and friend and the world will lose a powerful force with her loss.
UPDATE: There is now a glimmer of hope that she may survive and at best case scenario have one year to live. (She has stage 4 cancer and is suffering from heart and renal failure.) So pray my friends, pray, pray, pray.

Whenever I think of her, I smile. She's just that kind of person, she always makes you smile.
I would just like to say that cancer sucks - period.
I had made another card yesterday to remind us that God will be with you "when you go through deep waters" with scripture from Isaiah 43.2.
I pray that God is always with her - love you my friend.
I used vintage sheet music that had been sprayed with "Goosebumps" texture spray and inked with Distress Ink to paper piece the birds. Stamps are from Casual Fridays for card #1 and from Joy Clair stamps for card #2. I have linked my supplies below.

ReplyDeleteI love those singing birds....so darling on that card and I love their beautiful music design on their bodies. And it is so sad about your friend but the card you made is wonderful. You have my sympathy too. I have also heard lately of a dear friend who has cancer too.
