Hello and welcome!
There's a brand new CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge blog - Perfectly CAS.
The monthly challenge - create a card using only 1/3 of your card front!
Be sure to stop by Perfectly CAS Challenge to see the CAS designs from our whole brand new team!
I am honored to be on this team with so many amazingly talented CAS designers!
For all the rules check out "How to Play" on the challenge blog.
The challenge is all about helping you stay within 1/3 of your card to make sure it is CAS.
You can use this grid to help you decide which third of the page you want to stay in as you create:
I decided to stay in the bottom 1/3 and used flowers from Reverse Confetti's "Happy Mail" set, a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp, a thin strip of patterned paper and Zig Clean Color markers in very light pastels.
All of my supplies are linked below.

Sometimes when creating CAS cards you have to really stop yourself from adding more to a card.
After the sentiment and flowers were positioned, I decided to add the this strip of striped paper to give it an edge and more definition.
Look for small things that you can do to accentuate what is already there. Other ideas like the strip can be things like: some sparkle pen accents, a very few gems, droplets, or Nuvo drops, tiny black dots with a thin marker, a few hand drawn small squiggles or lines, to name a few. If you are like most people, it's very hard to stop adding things to a card to keep it clean and simple.
Another trick I use when I am struggling with a CAS design, is to take pictures of different versions before I adhering anything down and wait a day or two and go back and look at the pictures with fresh eyes. Almost always, the best one just jumps out at me and I know that is the version I will use.
I hope you will join us each month as we challenge you to stay within 1/3 of your card front and keep it Perfectly CAS! We can't wait to see what you create!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
